Her Therapy Space is a Washington, DC based licensed mental health private practice on a mission to help millennial Black and Brown women experience true transformation through 1:1 services, resources, and engagement in a community that celebrates the good, the bad and the ugly of life—together.
Therapy is a two way street. In order for our relationship to thrive, we respect
our clients and ask that our clients respect us as mental health professionals.
We are women of our word. Every day. Every time.
This isn’t your traditional “sit on the couch and talk into the void” type of therapy. We take a collaborative, relationship-centered approach rooted in conversation and connection.
We provide a high level of care to each and every person who works with us 1:1 or engages with our community in any way. Full stop.
All women and female-identifying persons are welcome and embraced in
our brand and work.
Whether it’s in therapy sessions, masterclasses, events, emails, or DMs, we work
to cultivate safe havens where people feel seen, heard, and understood for who they are.
You’re a multifaceted, ambitious, high achieving woman with an entrepreneurial spirit. Brunching with your girls, traveling, and looking fly come easy to you, but you could DEF benefit from making more time for these things (and more). Because you’re always putting others first, you struggle to prioritize yourself…but you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired!
Society’s lack of consideration for women of color has taken a toll on your mental health and you’re ready to take back your power and be who you’ve been called to be FULLY.
now's it's time to do THE WORK BEYOND THE COUCH!
what people are saying
Founder and therapist Kristin Winchester has always possessed both an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep love for helping women of color thrive. After graduating from graduate school in 2013, she started a business to help black women break free of debt in 2016 (iykyk).
Pretty quickly she realized that more often than not the root of their issues went so much deeper than money: They struggled to prioritize their mental health and themselves in order to see the personal and financial success they desired. So she decided to do something about it. She founded Her Therapy Space in 2019 to fill the gap between traditional therapy and the mental health and wellness needs of modern millennial women of color.
Today, HTS has grown to include a small but mighty team of licensed practitioners and staff and an online community of thousands of women leading messy, imperfect, beautiful lives.
You know what you want and you’re not afraid to go after it. You know that it’s finally time to start prioritizing your mental health and wellbeing more effectively.
And we’re ready to serve you over here at Her Therapy Space.
